What started it all
A musician and songwriter, Barry will often say, “My music sold well under one million copies.” However, Barry and his band Mark Urgent enjoyed impressive success in the 1980s. In fact, their song On a Night Like This was featured on American Bandstand and reached the Billboard charts. The band created a well of original music, including writing and producing music for movie soundtracks. Today, Barry applies many of the lessons he learned from his time in a band to his business, like jamming—one of LABOV’s core values.
